Memorial Services for John Steelman Smoot Jr. age 56, of Bedford, TX, formerly of Camden, TN, will be held Friday, February 26, 2016, from 5-8pm at Plunk Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, Feb. 27th, 11am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial to follow in Benton Memory Gardens. Cremation services were performed in Texas. Mr. Smoot passed away February 14, 2016, at his home. He was born August 14, 1959, in Camden, TN, to Marian L. Nimmo and the late John S. Smoot Sr. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Survivors include: Mother: Marian L. Nimmo – Avon, IN Step-Mother: Myrtle Smoot – Camden, TN Son: Charles S. Smoot – Knoxville, TN Sister: Catherine LeMere – Avon, IN Step-Sister: Peggy Robertson – Camden, TN 2 Nieces and 5 Nephews In addition to his father he is preceded in death by: Sister: Deborah A. Henson
