OBITUARY FOR: Marvin Lenard Sanders Funeral Services for Marvin Lenard Sanders age 87, of Camden, TN, will be 2pm Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Munford Funeral Home in Munford, TN. Burial will follow in Helen Crigger Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 1pm until service time at 2pm. Mr. Sanders died August 1, 2017, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Drummonds, TN, on May 16, 1930. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp for 6 years and received a Purple Heart for being shot by a sniper. He also received a World War II Victory Medal and a Korean Service Medal. He retired from Ingram Bargeline. He was a member of Flatwoods United Methodist Church. Survivors include: Wife: Willie Jean Sanders – Camden, TN Stepdaughters: Vicki (Barry) Bean – Missouri & Susan (David) Payment – Millington, TN and their children and grandchildren 2 Special Cousins: Billy Waxler and Danny Gilbert A Host of Cousins, Nieces & Nephews He is preceded in death by: Parents: Laly Houston Sanders & Dellie Thelma Waxler Sanders Kenney Stepfather: Dale Kenney First Wife: Venecia Sewell Sanders Infant Son Plunk Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
